Privacy
This page describes what Internal Linking Tool stores. It is short because the product stores little.
The free check
The free single-URL check needs no signup and asks for no email. You enter a URL, we fetch it, and we show the result. The free tier allows 10 checks per day per IP address, so we keep a count against your IP address to enforce that limit. The count is the only thing stored for the free check.
Sites you add
When you add a site we store its host, the verification method you use, and the token we generated for it. We crawl a host only after the verification passes, and we re-check it before every crawl. Adding a site does not itself make us request anything from it.
Crawl results
A crawl stores the URLs it found, each page title, and the link graph built from those pages, so the orphan report, the silo matrix and the link suggestions can be shown and re-read.
We keep the extracted main text of each page for 7 days, which is how long the suggestion engine needs it to compare pages by topic. After that the text is cleared out of the page row and only the link data remains.
The crawl itself, its pages, links and suggestions are kept for 30 days. After that the crawl row and every row that hangs off it are deleted automatically. Both windows are set in one place in the code, and the same settings drive the deletion sweep, so this page and the deletion cannot drift apart.
Accounts
If you create an account we store your email address and the sign-in details needed to log you in, plus the sites you add and the crawls you run. The trial lasts 7 days and needs no card.
Payments
Card payments are handled by Stripe. We do not see or store your card number. We keep your plan and subscription status so we know what you have access to.
Pages we fetch
We fetch the URLs you ask us to check, as described on the crawler page. We read the raw HTML the page serves.
